Game
Notes:
Kelowna Cubs got off to a great start in their season opener, jumping off to a 9-1 lead then holding off a White Rock Triton charge in the final inning to win 9-7 in a wet, windy day at the coast Saturday. The Valgardson brothers led the Cubs offensively. Jordan scored three runs, had a double and two singles, with three rbi's, while Cody had two doubles and two rbi's while also scoring three runs. Travis Schroeder contributed two singles as well. Axel Scott pitched four great innings, allowing only one run on two hits to pick up the win. Rookie Jordan Neufeld pitched two scoreless innings of relieved, then hung on for dear life as the Triton bats came alive in the seventh inning.
