Game
Notes:
Langley Blaze, fresh from a spring training trip to Arizona, edged the Kelowna Cubs 2 - 0 at McLeod Park. The Cubs outhit the Blaze 5 - 1, but a couple of errors in the bottom of the second proved their undoing. With the bases loaded and one out, an errant throw home to force the runner went astray, and the only two runs of the game crossed the plate. At the plate, Cam Kryzanowski led the Cubs with a double and a single, with Jordan Valgardson, Travis Schroeder and Mike Stearns adding singles. Cody Valgardson threw three strong innings for Kelowna, allowing only a Chris Bath single, and striking out two. Brandon Kaufman's single inning of relief consisted of eight pitches, and three ground ball outs. Ian Watt got the win for Langley, allowing three hits while striking out five. Travis Davy mopped up, giving up two hits and also striking out five.
