Stofferahn Eastview won their third straight game by defeating district rival Apple Valley 7-0. The Lightning and Eagles played a close game until Eastview scored 4 in the bottom of the 6th, led by a 2-run homer by Vince Metz. Eastview was led on the mound by Joe Stofferahn (0 ER, 5 K) making his season debut. He went the distance scattering 5 hits and 4 walks. He had help from his defense as the Lightning had their first errorless game and continued to show improvement on defense. Leading Eastview on offense was Groskreutz (2B, RBI), Voss (RBI 1B), & Spika (2 H, 2 RS, 1 SB). Eastview comes right back with another league game as they travel to Northfield for their first road game. Northfield is 1-0 in league play, defeating Prior Lake 4-2 last week. The Lightning will send Lucas Anderson (0-0 10.50) to the mound in his second appearance (first start) on the season. Stofferahn (W, 1-0) |
