Game
Notes:
Your typical great Glencoe days game, maybe the wildest yet. Both teams looked great at times and both looked down right aweful at times.
Brewers had many 2 out clutch hits to pile on some runs, and broke the game open a bit with a 5 spot in the 5th. The Bluejays would come charging back, little by little. And with the bases loaded and Plato losing 8-7, 2 outs, Smothers hit a sky ball to deep center that was lost in the night, and the bases cleared to give Plato the 10-8 lead, Tony would re-enter and close out the game in the 9th. A win is a win.
Grams pitched a good game for the Brewers going all 9 inns, with 149 pitches throw. His defense let him down with 6 errors. Tony got the start for plato went 4 2/3, then left trailing 8-4. Ode pitched 2 scorless, then Boomer pitched the 8th. Plato scored 3 in 9th and Tony got save.
Any baseball fan out there ever want to see a classic rivalry, come to Glencoe days every year for this game.
