Eastview (10-17-1) lost to New Prague 10-7. The Lightning were down 6-0 after the first frame but fought back to tie it up after 2.5 frames. New Prague re-took the lead with back-to-back walks to lead off the 3rd and then scored both of them and never looked back. Eastview's pitching staff walked 8 hitters and their defense committed 4 errors, giving an already very talented New Prague team 12 free baserunners. Eastview's offense exploded for 12 hits of their own as their bats have stayed hot! Granat (2 2B, RBI), Kelley (2 SB) & Stofferahn (RBI) each had multi-hit games. The Lightning have won 5 of their last 21 games (5-15-1) since they won 5 of their first 7 games. Eastview comes back and faces Burnsville tomorrow night. It will be the third game of the season between the two teams as Eastview won 4-2 in league earlier this season & Burnsville won the rematch last weekend 9-6. Joe Stofferahn (1-3, 5.70) will take the ball tomorrow in his fifth start of the season. Stofferahn is looking to turn things around as he has given up 25 hits in his last 10 innings pitched. Game time is set for 6:30pm at the Burnsville High School Varsity Field.
