Granat In the rare occasion where Eastview played on their own home field but was the away team they came out with a victory 14-5. After falling behind 2-0 early the Lightning struck back to take the lead with 4 in the 2nd after getting the first 2 outs. 4 hits and 2 errors later the Lightning found themselves playing with a lead they would not give up the rest of the night. After the Cougars put another one on the board, Eastview got 3 more in the 4th with hits from Anderson (3 RS, 2 SB, 2 1B), Stofferahn (4 RBI, 3 RS, 3 H, 2 SB), Granat (2 2B, 2 1B, 3 RBI, 2 RS) & Voss (1B, SB). The Lighting also put 4 up in the 6th with contributions from Spika (3B, 2 1B, 3 RS, 2 RBI), Stofferahn, Granat, Groskreutz (RS, 1B) & a great bunt by Brechlin (SAC). In the 7th, Eastview put 3 more up to take a 14-3 lead with Kelley (RBI 1B) contributing to the offensive attack. Reller (RS) and Huhner (RS) each added multiple hits on the day and Brodeur came up with a great catch in RF to save a run! Granat not only had 4 hits a the plate but he threw his first complete game on the season. He scattered 7 Lakeville South hits and walked only 2. He struck out a season-high 8 guys. He is also tied for the team lead in wins with 2. Eastview has moved up to 7-8 in league play and doesn't play until their make up game with Apple Valley on Tuesday. If the defeat the Eagles, they will indeed finish the league season at the .500 mark. Granat (W, 2-1) |
