| Game Notes: The game opened with both teams demonstrating stellar defense and strong pitching. That all changed in the second inning when the first two Mill Woods batters got on with singles, and the next batter, Shaun Atamanchuk stroked a three run shot over the fence in left centre field to make it 3-0 after two innings. The score remained unchanged until the fourth inning when Mill Woods scored three more runs to make it 6-0 on the strength of a triple by Matt Coutney and doubles by Robbie Holmes and Shaun Atamanchuk. Mill Woods scored one in the fifth and erupted for five more runs in the sixth inning lead by a three RBI double down the left field line by Levi Muth. Confederation bats were silent for most of the game until the bottom of the sixth inning when they lit up the Sox for five runs of their own. Confed loaded the bases which set the table for Kai Sakaguchi’s three RBI double. Confederation Park crossed two more runs before Mill Woods retired the side to win the game by a score of 12-5. | |||
