NOTE: Drop-Dead Time in this game began in the 6th inning, with the Diamond Queens – the home team – at bat. After the last batter completed her at-bat, the game should have been stopped. However, the plate umpire erred and allowed a 7th, illegal, inning to be played. Although the error is appealable even after the umpires have left the field, Diamond Queens chose not to file an official appeal. But, Diamond Queens did let tournament officials and the PA Renegade head coach know the 7th inning was illegal. THEREFORE, THIS GAME IS SCORED ONLY FOR THE LEGAL 6 INNINGS. |
