Notes:
Furnstahl, Ferber (7) & Perlenfein (7) Eastview (11-5) came through with another win in the rainy weather. Furnstahl (7 K, 2 ER) went 6 strong innings giving up only 3 hits and 4 runs before giving way to the bullpen. The Lightning scored in pairs as they scored 2 runs in 4 different innings to get their total of 8. They stole 15 bases on the game as they stayed aggressive on the bases. With some timely hits, they drove some runners in but still ultimately left too many guys on. With the win, the Lightning are 2-0 in pool play but since they have given up 14 runs already a wildcard spot looks to be a long shot. Since Hastings is also 2-0 in pool play, the winner will advance while the loser will most likely be sent home for the weekend. Jack Frojd (1-0, 3.07) will take the mound for his 2nd start of the season. His only start he went the distance against Burnsvile White, allowing only 4 hits.
