Notes:
Buck Eastview continued pool play by defeating St Croix in an elimination game in the Eagan Tournament 7-1. Jack Buck (3 H, 3 BB) went the distance giving up only 1 run and striking out 5. The Lightning had some timely hits on offense with two 3-run innings to put the game out of reach after 5 innings. JJ Grimm (2 SB) was the only batter with multiple hits but Kyllo (2 BB) and Frojd (BB, RS) each reached base twice. The defense played strong behind Buck by making all the plays and committing no errors. Matt Smith (2-1, 1.79) takes the mound vs Eagan in the final game of pool play. Eagan is 0-2 in the pool and Eastview advances to the Quarterfinals with a victory. Buck (W, 2-2) |
