Notes:
Buck & Perlenfein (3) Eastview (0-1) began their season with a 6-4 loss to St. Anthony. Eastview got the first two outs of the season on consecutive hitters but their defense committed three errors, leading to 2 unearned runs. They battled back for a run from leadoff hitter JJ Grimm (2 BB, 2 RS), who stole 3 bases on the day, on a SAC fly by Perlenfein (2B, 2 RBI). Buck ran into some trouble in the 3rd inning by walking four hitters. Perlenfein (1 ER, 2 K) came in and minimized the damage. After being down 6-2 in the bottom of the 5th, Eastview battled back and had the bases loaded when the last out of the inning was made. The game was then called for darkness. The Lightning were hurt by doing failing to do the 'little things' correctly. They made 6 errors (St Anthony 1), walked 5 batters & missed a few signs. Eastview has the rest of the week off before coming back with a lot of baseball next week. They play Burnsville White under the lights at Alimagnet on Monday. The starting pitcher is TBD.
