Game
Notes:
The Cubs first league win came in the Best of the West Tournament in Kamloops where we played two scheduled league games. Brendon Peron in his first league start of the season pitched five innings where he would probably say he did not have his best stuff, but got the job done. With the help of some solid infield D, Brendon gave up only two runs and recorded his first win. Kyle Anderson had two excellent innings of relief, facing only seven batters and recording three ks for the save.
The Cubs offense scored in a variety of ways, including getting some help from Parksville's errors. After being walked Adam Carol and Scott Belinski scored in the first on RBI outs from Cory Smith and Ryan Franz. Belinski scored again in the sixth on an error by the third baseman and Dallas Jani in to run for Ryan Franz after he singled scored on a great squeeze bunt from Brett Zazalenchuk.
