Bangh & Wilson (7) BURNSVILLE -- Eastview (14-6-1) got up early on Wayzata and kept the lead throughout the game to win 8-4. With Apple Valley coming back to defeat Osseo, the Lightning advanced to semifinal play to face league rival Burnsville, who won their pool. Bangh led off the 1st with a walk and scored on a Dickson double. Dickson scored on a 1-out McDevitt double. In the 3rd, Bangh Selchow singled and stole second base, moved to 3rd on a Dickson single and scored on a McDevitt filders choice. Johansen drove in the last run after a wild pitch with a single. In the 4th, McLean led off with a double and moved to 3rd on an error. Bangh walked and then Selchow singled in two. After a walk, McDevitt singled in the last run to get up 8-2. Wayzata only managed two more runs as Alex Bangh threw a 6-inning gem before giving way to Wilson. Bangh only gave up 2 earned runs and struck out 6 to get his 4th win on the season. Jonny Selchow (2-2, 5.16) gets the semifinal start vs Burnsville. Last time vs the Blaze, he threw 8 innings and got the win. Bangh (W, 4-0) |
