ROCHESTER -- In game one of action Saturday, the Lightning (16-11-2) lost to Rochester by a score of 9-5. Rochester got up by scores of 6-0 and 8-1 but Eastview battled back within 3. Leighton, Dickson (1B, RS, SB, HBP) & Bangh (1B, RS, RBI) each had doubles but it wasn't enough as the Lightning made 4 errors, leading to 3 unearned runs.

In game two, Eastview (17-11-2) defeated Cottage Grove 12-2 behind 9 runs in the first inning. The Wolfpack came into the game losing to Rochester 7-4 and defeating White Bear Lake 13-2. Since White Bear defeated Rochester, if Cottage Grove had won, they would have advanced out of pool play. Instead Eastview bashed out 14 hits on offense from 8 different players and Keegan Dickson threw 5 innings giving up only 4 hits, 2 runs and not walking a single hitter. Karsten Augustin came in relief for a perfect inning to close the game with two strikeouts. It was a big outing for Augustin as he has been looking to get things turned around after a rough first two outings on the season. Eastview didn't advance out of pool play but have a make-up game against Shakopee, who is 6-6 in league. Adam Stockwell (2-0, 2.68) will make his fourth start on the season. In Eastview's 7-2 win early this season, Stockwell went 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and only 2 runs in a win. He will be looking for the same success. Game time is set for 515pm at Quarry Point #1.

Dickson (W, 3-2)
