Stockwell, McDevitt (4) & Bangh (7) ST CLOUD -- Eastview (24-17-2) lost to Shakopee 7-1 to end pool play for the MSF State Tournament winless at 0-2. They will now compete in the consolation bracket against other teams who finished last in their pools. The Sabers scored 4 runs of Stockwell in his 3 2/3 of pitching but only one was earned. The offense for the Lightning never got going as they only managed 5 hits on the game. A big factor in the game was the McDonalds brought two minutes before the game started after the 2.5 hour rain delay. It was evident the Lightning never mustered much energy and were caught flat footed against a Shakopee team they had already beaten twice on the season. Stockwell (L, 3-2) |
