Dickson BURNSVILLE -- Eastview (15-8-1) lost in league play to district rival Burnsville 3-0. After beating Burnsville once previously in league play and again this past weekend in a tournament semifinal game, the Blaze came out firing. They jumped on the board in the first with back-to-back 2-out doubles. They added two more runs as the game went on but Dickson battled out of many jams holding a very talented hitting group to only three runs. He went the distance, allowing 10 hits, walking 3, and striking out 2. The offense for the Lightning couldn't put together a solid inning and struggled with two outs. They stranded 8 runners on base for the game, with 5 of those in scoring position. For the game, they only had 2 hits with 2 outs and could not get a run across. Terlizzi (2 1B), Wilson (2 1B), Selchow (2B, 1B) & Stockwell (1B, BB) all reached base multiple times to help the cause on offense. Eastview has won only 2 of their last 6 games as they hope to turn things around with another tournament beginning tomorrow. They begin Prior Lake Tournament pool play against Chaska. Jordan Johansen (2-1, 5.05) will take the ball for his third start as he hopes to continue where he left off on his last start where he went 7 innings, yielding only 3 runs in a no decision last weekend.
