Coquitlam Reds banged out eight hits and six runs in the fourth inning to defeat a game Kelowna Cubs team 8-5 in the bottom half of Sunday's doubleheader in Coquitlam. Kelowna got off to a good start, as Cam Kryzanowski singled, stole second, and scored on Jordan Cheveldave's double. Ryan Franz scored Cheveldave with a single, for a two run lead. Brandon Kaufman was steady on the mound for the Cubs until the fourth inning, when the powerful Reds bats took over and put the game out of reach. Kryzanowski led the Cubs with three hits, while Cheveldave and Brett Sanguin had two each for Kelowna. Mike Gosse hit a towering off-field home run for the Reds, and Nils McLaren was the winning pitcher.
