| Game Notes: The Thunder woke up on the right side of the bed and put forth a solid team effort to start the week off with a win! "McLovin" Bechstein was as close to lights out as one could get as he pitched himself out of jams and recorded the big strikeout or double play when he needed it. He threw 6 innings only giving up the 1 run on 6 hits, he struck out 7 and walked just 2 on his way to the victory. The Thunder bats also came to life scattering 8 runs on 12 hits. Leading the charge on offense was the 3,4,5 combonation of Ryan "Party Planner" Heisler, Loren "Lego Land" Muraca and Andy "Coo Coo" Glockner going a combined 7-11 and driving in 4 of the 8 runs. Other notable performances include: Noah "Slip N' Slide" Tienken who with a sac fly in the 2nd inning put the Thunder on the board, Chris "Hunger Games" Casey (2-3 with a sac bunt) and Matt "Nightwalker" Herro, who put the nail in Valley's coffin in the bottom of the 5th by driving in the final 2 runs on a 2 out single. Chris "Lancelot" or "Automatic" Ferber pitched the 7th for EV. He gave up a meaningless double but closed the door on the hopes of Apple Valley by striking out the side for the W! | ||||||||||
