Game
Notes:
Rough morning for the Blue Jays as we began the 2021 Region Tourney in Plato with 2 inches of rain. We started working on the field at 6am in the Rain. First game was scheduled for a 10 am start. The infield was immaculate and had leterally no water on it except by the lips. We used large sponges to get rid of that. The left field foul line, small area behind the short stop, right-center just to the right of the 384 sign by the warning track, right field position, and the right field foul line by the turtle were all the low spots with standing water. With large roller squeegees, and 2 rolling soppers from Waconia and the Glencoe Tennis courts, we were able to get all the water mostly off the field by 11:15 for a 12:30 game start.
Prehn started and came out very flat, along with consistant blooper/poop dollar hits by Brownton, the bruins were able to score 15 runs. Plato just didn't have the energy to get themselves back into this game. Exhausted, plato loses 15-8, even though putting up 17 hits. But, left 15 runners on base. Tough one to choke down for the Blue Jays.
