Anderson & Sikich (5) The Lightning won their 3rd consecutive game and swept their pool in doing so. Down by 2 in their last at bats, Eastview struck back with 5 runs, all with 2 outs!! Sikich (W, 1 H, 1 R) came in and kept the Lightning in the game. They were badly hurt by their defense, which commited 8 errors leading to 5 unearned runs. The offense bashed out 13 hits and was led by Anderson (rbi), Woods (2 r), & Devine (rbi)--all had multiple hits. The Lightning are in Championship Play for the first time all year and play two games for sure. They will send Sikich (1-0, 1.36) to the mound in hopes of moving on to the 'Ship. Sikich (W, 1-0) |
