Game
Notes:
What a game! A game that will be remembered and talked about for the ages! #1 Seed Watertown faced off vs the #2 Seed Plato Blue Jays on Thursday Night, in Hamburg. And boy, was it an exciting one! The grand stands were packed with a final head count of 636 people from all over. 1-0 was the final in this one and Plato skips away with the victory! It was an absolute pitching dual with great defense. Reece Schwirtz scores the lone run after hitting a double, then getting to 3rd by a good read off a ball in the dirt, and then on an Adam Prehn Sac Fly. Drew Hedtke pitched lights out to keep us there. Will Hoernemann came in for relief and with 2 outs, bases loaded, with a full count, he struck out the last batter. That punched Plato's ticket! WE ARE HEADED BACK TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT!!! The 100 Year Anniversary State Amateur Baseball Tournament!
