Devine The Lightning got their first win of the season by creaming their district rivals Irish of Rosemount. The offense mashed out 11 hits, more than they had their first two games combined. They also had a masterful performance on the mound by Sean Devine (5 IP, 9 K) in his season debut. The offense was led by Velin (3 bb, 3 sb, 2 r), Allen (3 1b, 2 rbi) and Devine (3 h, 3 rbi) – all of which reached at least three times. Tonight was a night where everyone in the lineup contributed though! Eastview takes on Mound Westonka tomorrow at noon in the semifinals, with the winner earning a State Tournament bid.
