The Lightning opened the Apple Valley Tournament with a 9-0 win over Minnetonka. Eastview was led by their pitching, which was 1 out away from no-hitting the Skippers! Devin Dickson (0 R, 7 K) gave them 5 good innings followed up by Kyle Anderson's (2 K) first appearance on the mound. Eastview was helped by 7 Minnetonka errors and capitalized by getting 7 hits of their own and stealing 7 bases. This is the Lightning's fifth straight win. The offense was led by Vossen (2b, 3b) and Runing (2 sac rbi's). Eastview plays against league rival Lakeville South in a matinee game today. The Lightning beat the Cougars 7-4 in the first contest of the season. Erik Edsten makes his first start on the bump.
