Devine & Dickson (5) Eastview lost their first game of the Rochester Tournament to South St Paul in a close one 3-2. It is the first time all season that Eastview has not started a tournament with a win in the opener. They outhit the Packers 7-5 but 2 unearned runs came back to haunt the Lightning. They also got thrown out 4 times on the bases. Leading the offense was Jonas (rbi) as the only player reaching base multiple times. Devine (3 K, 1 ER) was also hurt because he allowed 4 walks and beaned 2 hitters. The Lightning continue pool play against Chaska in the morning. Chaska lost to Osseo 11-6 in the nightcap Friday night. Devine (L, 2-3) |
