Edsten & Woods (3) Eastview lost the second game of the tournament 15-9 to Chaska. Eastview has now lost 2 in a row and 4 of their last 5. The Lightning outhit the Hawks 9-8 but committed a season-high 10 errors leading to 14 unearned runs. The pitchers pitched very well but got zero help behind them in the field. After being down 15-2, Eastview got 7 unanswered to make the game somewhat reasonable. Leading the offense was Allen (2 rbi), Edsten, Anderson (rbi), Devine (2 r), Dickson (3 bb, rbi), Jonas & Velin (2 r) -- all 7 reached base multiple times!! Eastview plays against Osseo for their last game in pool play in the tournament. With the loss to the Hawks, the Lightning can not advance for the first time all season. Edsten (L, 0-2) |
