Notes:
The Renegades open the shootout with a come-from-behind win against a good Chattahoochee Jr. Cougars team. Lucas started, going three innings and allowing 2 hits and 1 BB while striking out 4. Steven went the next 2 2/3, also allowing only two hits, and yielded to Clint to close the game with 3 Ks in the last 1 1/3 inning. Nick and Clint had two hits, and Steven added an RBI double. Tallying singles were Patrick, Ryan, Lucas, and Austin L, and the runs were scored by Nick, Austin L., Lucas, Ryan, Steven, Parker and Patrick. All four runs in the Renegade fifth occurred after two outs with nobody on. Lucas legged out a bunt single, stole second, and with the SS holding him, Ryan lashed a key RBI single through the SS hole. Steven followed up with his double, scoring Ryan. Parker reached with a hard hit ball that their 2B couldn't field (scoring Steven), and after Patrick took a pitch to the shoulder to reach, Nick plated Parker with an RBI single. There were several strong plays in the field, including Clint nabbing a sinking line drive in CF and doubling off a Cougar runner at 2B. |
