Devine & Dickson (4) The Lightning lost their second consecutive game against Burnsville White in the past two weeks by a score of 4-1. They could not muster much offense all game as they only had 2 hits. In the first inning, they had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs but struck out 3 straight times stranding both runners there. Eastview's pitching was much better than the 4 runs that came across. Their defense could not make the routine plays, which led to 8 errors, causing all 4 runs to be unearned. The Lightning were lucky Burnsville stranded so many runners because the score could have easily been much worse than it was. Eastview travels to Burnsville this weekend for a tournament. They are hoping to build off last weekend's successful second place finish. They start off under the lights against Waseca and are sending Melzarek (1-2, 0.45) to the bump for his team-leading 3rd start of the season. Devine (L, 1-1) |
