The East Suns Freshman and Port Washington passed the lead back and forth on Friday, but in the end the East Suns pulled out a 7-4 win in seven innings over Port Washington. East took the lead in the sixth inning and held on for the victory. A passed ball scored Kendrick Davis to give the Suns Freshman the lead for good. Nate Farrington put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for East. He doubled in the third and fifth innings. Dakota Skenandore recorded the win for the Suns. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out eight, walked one and surrendered seven hits. Kendrick, Nate Farrington and Dakota helped lead the Suns. They combined for seven hits and two RBIs. In the top of the first, East grabbed the early lead, 1-0. The Suns put up one run in each of the third, fourth, fifth, and seventh innings. In the third, East scored on an RBI double by Nate Farrington, plating Carlitos Salazar. |
