Devine & Runing (7) The Lightning got up 10-0 early and held on to defeat the Cougars 10-4 in the first of two games on the evening. They reached base 23 times with 9 hits, 7 walks, 6 errors, and an HBP. The offense was led by Devine (2 r, 2 rbi), Jonas (sb), & Melzarek (2 r, 2 rbi); all had multiple hit games. Everyone on the team that had more than 1 PA either reached base or got an RBI -- a total team effort! Devine found his groove again as he only gave up 7 baserunners in his 6 innings of work to even his record on the year at 2-2. Eastview sends out Devin Dickson (0-2, 1.31) to the bump in the night game to try and earn his first W on the season. A win will put Eastview into sole position of 3rd place in the league.
