Notes:
The Dragons played their first official game and took a 5 run lead after 3 innings. Unfortunately the new pitching staff faltered in the top of the 5th inning as they allowed 16 runs on 12 walks,2 hits and countless passed balls,wild pitches and errors. The offense made a valiant effort in the bottom of the 5th inning by scoring 3 runs but they left the bases loaded and lost to the Scorpions due to the 10 run mercy rule 20-10. Ron Arostegui led the offense which scored 10 runs in 5 innings by going 2 for 2 with a walk and a run batted in. He also pitched the first 4 innings and allowed just one earned run. Stat Note: 9 runs: 1 run scored by non roster player-9 rbi's: 1 run scored on passed ball. Dragon pitchers no longer on the roster gave up 16 runs in the 4th inning. |
