On Saturday Monroe College beat Globe by a score of 4-1. Sophomore Jonathan Gonzalez looked sharp in the win. Gonzalez allowed 1 unearned run on 5 hits while striking out 11 batters for his 2nd win of the season. In game 2 Norman Gosselin continued the fine pitching for the Mustangs. Gosselin threw his second complete game of the year, allowing only 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 6 in the win. Richard Melendez of Miami, FL went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored & 1 RBI for Monroe. The Mustangs improve their record to 10 wins & 6 Losses with the 11-1 win over Globe College. |
