Notes:
The first game of the season saw former teammates on opposing sides as Pecatonica team #2 hosted Pecatonica team #1. The first inning proved to be a pitching battle as both teams failed to score. In the top of the 2nd, however, N. Loyd surprised Pec#2 infielders with a bunt, which earned him a base hit. Two stolen bases later, and Loyd was in scoring position. An error and a hit batter would load the bases, then Loyd would cross home on a single hit by W. Willis. The two final runs would score on walks, giving Pec#1 a 3-point lead. In the bottom of the second, with two outs, Pec#2's T. Hodgson would walk to first and steal second, putting him in scoring range, but he was left on base when the next batter struck out swinging on a full count. In the top of the 3rd, Pec#1 increased their lead by 1 when S. Swenson walked to first, stole second and third on passed balls, and crossed home on a single hit by J. Scoville. In the bottom of that inning, Pec#2 again tried to rally, which began when D. Clark's infield grounder was bobbled by first baseman J. Hendrickson. Clark would later steal second on a passed ball. With only one out, Pec#2's first hit of the game was a single bunted by C. Anderson. A walk awarded to J. Debord loaded the bases, but Pec#1's starting pitcher, J.
