Game
Notes:
Pembroke JV won it's season opener against Sharon, 4-1. Rob Rozzi turned in a brilliant performance on the mound holding Sharon to 3 hits while striking out 7 batters. He also helped himself with an RBI double that put an insurance run up for the Titans in the 6th inning scoring Mike Sjolin.
Sjolin was 1-3 with an R.B.I single and two stolen bases.
Other contributors included Justin Pugliesi, Ryan Martin, Peter Trudeau, and Dana Rosner. Pugliesi ignited the Titans in the leadoff spot recording two hits and stealing two bases. He also made some difficult plays look easy at the hot corner.
Martin spanked an RBI double in the fourth which scored Sjolin. He also set the tone with his arm gunning down the first and only runner in the 2nd inning who tried to steal second.
Trudeau was 1-2 including a huge sacrifice bunt in the fourth inning.
Rosner reached base twice both via errors; but put the ball in play at some difficult times with men in scoring position. He was also "like a cat" over at the first base bag.
The Titans will meet up again with Sharon on Saturday, weather permitting. Mike Sjolin will get the start on the hill in that game.
