Game Notes: The Pembroke Titan's JV team bounced back in a big way against East Bridgewater today winning 14-5. The Titans scored in every inning but the 5th on route to their 3rd victory.
Sean Gilliand got the start going 3 1/3rd innings before giving way to Freshmen fireballer Ryan Martin. Martin went the final 3 2/3rds innings to finally pick up his first victory.
The Titans featured an explosive offense. Every player in the starting lineup had at least one hit. Leading the charge was sophmore Brian Gentile. Gentile had a career day at the plate. He went 4-4 with two doubles and a triple. Gentile scored 4 runs and drove another 4 runs in.
Ryan Martin collected 3 hits, scored 3 runs, and recorded 3 RBI's. Rob Rozzi smacked 2 doubles. Peter Trudeau, Justin Pugliesi, Sam Nagle, Dana Rosner, and Marcanthony Maffeo had two hits a piece. (nagles were ripped singles)
In the second inning, Nagle executed a perfect hit and run placing the ball in the vacant hole at second base as he was covering for the predicted throw down to second. Conner Winn, in the same inning, place down an excellent sacrafice bunt, putting 2 runner in scoring position that would later on score on a Mike Sjolin single. The Titans never looked back from there.
Pugliesi remained perfect on the bases as he swipped two more bags, giving him 7 SB's already this season.
The Titans will be on the road Tuesday facing the mighty Braintree at 11am.
