Notes:
The Renegades opened the rain-shortened 2008 Thunder Clash with an 8-3 victory over Winder Team Elite. Patrick started, striking out seven and scattering three hits over five innings to get the win. Steven picked up the save in the sixth, striking out two and allowing no hits. Nick had two hits for the Renegades, and Patrick, Reid, Ryan, Lucas, Steven, Zach, Austin L, and Austin S all had hits. Austin L set the defensive tone for the tournament on the first play, ranging deep in the hole before diving to stop a hot grounder by the Winder lead-off man, then firing to first from his knees to nip the runner thanks to an awesome stretch at first by Steven! |
