Brockman got the win for Port Washington Varsity. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered four hits.
Port Washington Varsity went up for good in the first, scoring six runs on an RBI double by Brockman, an error, a sacrifice fly by Huebner, an RBI single by Haley, and two bases loaded walks.
Three runs in the top of the third helped the Suns close its deficit to 6-3. An error and a two-run double by Zach Biermann set off the Suns rally. Finally, Brockman got Jake Perez to fly out to end the threat.
After pushing across one run in the top of the fourth, the Suns faced just a 6-4 deficit. An RBI single by Collin Rusch gave the Suns life. Finally, Brockman induced an inning-ending fly out from Paul Kaufmann.
