Capital City backed two great pitching performances with plenty of runs as they swept their way through bracket play with 11-1, and 13-1 wins respectively.
Jon Stong pitched five innings, giving up 1ER and striking out six in the first game against CPC Baseball. Jordan Barchus was 3-3 and Jared Bell was 2-2 with a double and 5 RBI's to support Stong on the mound.
In the championship Bell let the first batter of the game score, then tightened down the hatches after that. Throwing four perfect innings, striking out four to get the win. Bell, Trent Hardin, and Stong all had multiple hits in the game to lead Cap City to their first championship of the Winter. |
