The Buzzards are 2-2 with a 16-4 victory over the Legends in surprisingly sunny South Surrey. A full team effort, lots of contributions...Dave Mac stinging the horsehide, including a double. Jim Romer lit up a bases clearing shot to the fence in the 7th, to really put it away.  Dave Reeves reached 3 times and scored 3 times at the top of the order.  Neil Hendren delivered one of the longer RBI singles in baseball history, a drive over the centrefielder's head, Neil wisely opting not to chance the extra 90 feet.  Game was very well pitched by starter Rod Van Dorn,(who chipped in a 2 run single down the line, kicking up the lime, or whatever they use to line the field now) Middle man Pete Langford, and Wardo closing also solid. Pretty good dee overall.  Nice of lp to pump weatherman- chucker Russ Lecate's tires with an 8th inning  swinging K.  Good job boys, not too many hiccups, and the Buzzards even their record at .500, still in the early May days.  We host the Richmond Monarchs next Saturday 9 AM.
