Coming off of their successful weekend, the Angels were back at it in regular season action, taking on their rival Vancouver Mounties on Wednesday night at Townline. In their previous 2 meetings in tournament play, Vancouver had beaten the Angels both times. This was their first regular season meeting. The Angels spotted Vancouver 3 runs in the first inning but roared back with 4 of their own. With Keaton on the mound, the Angels settled in and kept the Vancouver to only 2 more runs in the next two innings.
The Angels bats were on fire in this game, particularly Tanner who hit two doubles and a two-run homer. But once again, it was also timely singles and key hits in the right situations that saw the Angels score multi-runs in 3 more innings. Jordan came in to pitch the final 4 innings and did an excellent job. The Angels defence allowed no more runs in the last 4 innings. Final score Angels 14, Vancouver 5.
Next game: Saturday at Townline Park vs. Kamloops and Nanaimo. First game is at noon. Second game at 6. See you there!
