After suffering their first loss of the season, the Taylor County boys basketball team came back with a vengeance. Directly in their path were the Eagles of Bethlehem and the Cards did not hold back in the 68-33 win. After a slow start by both teams, the Cards picked up the pace and extended their lead to 33-13 at the half way point. Fueling the the Cards to victory was guard Quentin Goodin. With an assistant coach from the University of Kentucky in attendance, Goodin gave an impressive showing with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists. To go along with his dominant performance, Goodin hammered home 3 dunks in fast break situations. David Sloan added 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals in the rout while Austin Webster contributed 12 points and 5 rebounds. Caleb Wigginton dominated the glass, bringing down 11 rebounds while chipping in 9 points. With the 35-point blowout, the Cardinals move to 4-1 on the season and will face off against the Green County Dragons Thursday night at 8 ET before starting their Christmas tournaments over the holiday break.
