The Cardinals gave it all they had during the 2013-14 season, but fell short in the region semifinal against Etown, 64-60. The back and forth contest came to an end with a 14-3 run by the Panthers to seal the victory, but both teams were very deserving of advancing. The Cards did all they could do and were unlucky to finish on the losing end. Senior Caleb Wigginton led the way in his final appearence for the Cardinals, finishing with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Wigginton surpassed the 2,000 point mark for his career in the first half and will go down as the third all-time leading scorer in Taylor County Boys' Basketball history at 2,019. Junior Austin Webster added 12 points and 8 rebounds while sophomore Quentin Goodin tallied 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Senior Brady Turpin knocked down two three-pointers to finish with 6 points and freshman David Sloan assisted on 7 baskets. Wigginton and Goodin were both named to the All-Region Tournament Team. The matchup was the final game for seniors Wigginton, Turpin, and Weston Sullivan, who brought 3 District Championships to Taylor County Basketball in 4 years.
