The West Bend Thunder team won the Slinger Tournament for the second year in a row this past weekend, they beat Richfield Black, Merton and Slinger in the Championship to repeat as champs. They were in a tough battle on Friday vs. Richfield Black as the game was scoreless in the 5th until the Thunder finally broke through with a run to take a 1-0 lead. They would add 3 more in the 6th to win by a score of 4-0. George Seaman, Collin Dehne, and Joey Spence combined to throw a no hitter in the shutout win.

  On Sunday the Thunder beat Merton 13-0 in the semi final. Dawson Rondorf started and pitched  3 scoreless innings. Joey Spence and Caden Gish finished up on the mound to give the Thunder back to back shutouts. The team pounded out 15 hits and played solid defense once again.

    In the championship vs Slinger, Dawson Rondorf started on the mound again and pitched another solid 3 innings. He gave up 2 runs on only 3 hits. Joey Spence finished up with 2 scoreless innings and the Thunder rolled to 14-2 victory. Everyone contributed on the offensive side and great defense was on display as the team made play after play in the field. It was a great overall tournament in every aspect of the game. Pitching was fantastic, fielding was flawless, and hitting was solid as usual. Thanks to all the great Thunder fans who came out and supported us as the stands were once again packed with Thunder red and black.
