In a Sunday afternoon game the River Bandits play another close game and another one run loss. Donnie Mavencamp started on the bump for the Bandits and went 5 innings giving up one run, earned, striking out two, walking four, hit one, and giving up two hits. Cody Kielsa came in to relieve Mavancamp in the 6^th in a 1-1 game. He ends up giving up 2 runs, only one earned.

The Mallard hurler was able to keep the hot Bandits' bats at bay to give up only 8 hits. Andy Jorges and Travis Peterson each get two hits. Each had one single and one double. Tommy Traen also got two hits including one RBI. Bryan McCallum gets one hit and one RBI. Donnie Mavencamp also got a hit.

Once again the River Bandits make a push in the 9^th, but come up one short. Starting the 9^th the bandits were down 2 runs. Peterson starts the push by hitting a lead-off double of the left fielders head. Zach Nelson pinch ran for Petey and scores on a Tommy Traen single. With the tying run on first with one out Rockford’s next two hitters fail to move Traen around and ends the game at a 3-2 loss.

Rockford's next game will be a 7:30pm start on Wednesday, July 15th in Buffalo. Jason Lesser is scheduled to make his sixth start as the River Bandits look to make their playoff move.
