| A night game against the Roseau Royals was quite the night for Kyle Nowacki. The 20 year old pitched seven strong innings allowing one hit and striking out ten but his play at the plate made the biggest difference. With two men on in the third inning, Nowacki hit a deep double to score two to help his cause on the mound. It was Nowacki's second double of the game. Later in the seventh inning, Kyle Krahn hit a triple to score Brent Culleton from first giving the Muskies a 3-0 lead going into the eighth inning. Nowacki would give way to Bryce DeMolee who would breeze through his first inning of relief but ran into trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The Royals bats came alive and scored two to the cut the lead to one. With two outs and the tying run on third and winning run on first, DeMolee got the key strikeout to end the game and pick up his first save of the year and move the Muskies record to 5 and 1. |
