Katy, TX----Cinco Ranch came up with the clutch plays in overtime to pull out a 49-46 road win at Seven Lakes on Monday night.  Shayne Ortiz hit a three-pointer, Ashleigh Nwanguma had four points in the extra session, and Megan Palmer hit a free throw.  Palmer finished the night with 22 points and 10 rebounds.  Nwanguma also pulled down 10 rebounds for the Cougars. 

The Spartans had a 24-22 halftime lead, and Palmer had 18 of her 22 points in the first half to keep the Cougars close.  Seven Lakes' Christian Inman had all 14 of the Spartans points in the second stanza, part of her game high 34 tallies on the evening.  Cinco took a 34-32 lead into the fourth period behind Christy Williams 6 third quarter points.  Williams also finished the night with six assists.   

The game was deadlocked at 41 at the end of regulation, but the Cougars made the clutch plays to push their record to 9-9 overall and 2-0 in District 19-5A.  Cinco improved to 5-0 all-time against Seven Lakes with the victory.
