Bryan, TX----Cinco Ranch defeated A&M Consolidated 42-40 on Thursday afternoon to win the McDonald's All-Star Invitational for the first time in school history.  Megan Palmer scored 15 points and hauled in 14 rebounds, while Ashleigh Nwanguma added 13 points and 13 rebounds, as the Cougars pounded the inside to defeat the Lady Tigers. 

Cinco (14-11) led at the half 26-16 behind a strong 2nd quarter, where they outscored A&M Consol 14-5.  There was a twenty minute delay in the 3rd quarter due to the lights going out in the Bryan High School gym, and the time off sparked the Lady Tigers going into the fourth quarter.  A&M Consolidated (16-6) erased a 30-16 deficit in the third quarter to just two points with five seconds to play in the game.  Shayne Ortiz came up with her fourth steal of the day to prevent a game tying shot from going up and the Lady Cougars won their fifth game over the course of the three day tournament.
