Katy, TX----Cinco Ranch outscored Katy 19-0 over the first 7:10 of the game to end any drama in their 19-5A finale on Tuesday night at CRHS.  Senior Anne Marie Zuilhof was on fire to start the game, hitting for 10 points in the first quarter to stake the Cougars to the big lead.  Cinco stretched their lead to 30-12 at the break. 

The Cougars exploded for 22 points in the third quarter behind Megan Palmer, who hit 8 of her game high 17 points in the frame. 

Cinco started all four of their seniors on Senior Night, as Michelle Alvarez, Zuilhof, Peyton Crump, and Ashleigh Nwanguma started their final home game.  Alvarez grabbed three rebounds in the first quarter, Nwanguma finished with a whopping 15 rebounds, and Crump finished 5-6 from the free throw line for the game.  Cinco shot a season high 51% from the field on 24-47 shooting.  Palmer was 7-10 from the field and Zuilhof finished 5-6, including 3 three pointers.  Shayne Ortiz led Cinco with five assists to lead the Cougars in that category again. 

Next up for the Lady Cougars will be a trip to the state playoffs for the 8th consecutive year.  Cinco will play either Madison or Lamar out of HISD in a Bi-District playoff game at a site and time to be determined.
