Posted Sep 28/12 - 2012 Player Awards
As voted by team members, here is how it shook out.

Jeff "Spanky" Miller - MVP & Co-Pitcher of the Year

Jeffrey became a force from the mound as the summer of 2012 moved along.  He tallied five of the Outlaws eight wins on the season.  He accomplished this by posting a 2.58 ERA while striking out 69 hitters in 43 innings.  To say the least the Outlaws always felt they had a great chance to win when Miller took the mound.  His teammates overlooked the fact he gave up a hit to the oldest man in the league and still voted him the most valuable player of the 2012 season.  Nice job Jeffrey!!

Ryan "Ryno" Meyer - Defensive Player of the Year

Ryan holds down first base for the Outlaws and does a damn good job of it.  He provided several web jems in 2012 that had people amazed.  Hard to beat his play against Veseli during the last game of the year.  With his running over the shoulder sliding catch with the bases loaded, Ryan reaffirmed that he is a defensive master.  All infielders for the Outlaws can rest assured that as long as they can get a throw in Ryan's general area he is going to scoop it, jump it, dive it, or snag it and record the out.

"Magic" Mike Roth - Offensive Player of the Year

A true powerhouse.  I'm not sure how else to describe Mike Roth.  The guy can just down right hit the crap out of  the ball.  Mike posted a team leading .353 average and also led the team in RBI's, Hits, and Home runs.  I know I've said this before, but Mike is the true definition of a clean up hitter.  Magic Mike provided the spark late in games that led to several victories.  Mike also gathered many votes from his teammates for MVP and Mr. Defense.  Just an all around stud ball player.

Sam "Bammy" Baumgartner - Co-Pitcher of the Year

Sammy had a great year on the mound for the Outlaws in 2012.  He led the Outlaws in innings pitched and finished with a 2.87 ERA.  Bammers battled through injuries over the course of the summer and was a true warrior when it came to his team.  Even though everyone knew he was hurting and probably shouldn't even be out there, Sammy always took the ball and gave his team a great chance for victory.  If there is any goal for the 2013 season it's for the Outlaws to score more runs when Sam is pitching. Sam is also a defensive master and a wall behind the plate.  A true infield utility player, Sammy can play extremely great defense at any infield position.

Jeff Appel - Outlaw Player of the Year

I'm not going to sit here and type about myself.  This award is for the most dedicated Rah Rah player of the year.  I appreciate the fact the fellas voted for me.  Putting this team together along with Robb Larson was one of the best things we have done in a long time.  I can't wait for 2013!
