The 2011 season is over for Johnson County Longhorn Baseball, as we dropped an elimination game to the Elizabethton Cyclones by the score of 9-3, on Monday, May 9th. Obviously any competitor wants to win the whole thing, but when we step back and look at the 2011 season, there are many things to feel good about.
*Improved our overall win total from 9 in 2010 (9-16) to 15 in 2011 (15-15).
*Improved our Three Rivers Conference win total to 7 (7-12) in 2011, from 3 (3-12) in 2010. This includes two wins in the District 1 AA Tournament.
*The two District 1 AA Tournament wins were the first tournament success our program has experienced sine the 2006 season.
*Our Ballpark-Thanks to Sam Icenhour and Iron Mountain Construction, our ballpark once again compares to any in Northeast Tn, especially any baseball program on the AA level.
*Our JV Program-The 16 JV games played (10-6) were the most in the Pete Pavusek era.
*Fan Support-We had a nice crowd at most home games during the 2011 season. Your support is appreciated. Thank you.
