| Notes From Opening Day loss at Cannon-Gouge Park *Junior right handed pitcher, Andy Woods, threw 3 1/3 innings of quality relief, surrendering no earned runs. Woods struck out 2 Warrior batters. *Senior, Bobby Taylor, recorded his first career Varsity RBI with a sac. fly in the top of the 2nd inning. *Senior second baseman, Chad Hodgkiss, went 2-3 with two hard line drive opposite field hits. *Junior centerfielder, Jacob Henson, hit his first career Varsity triple, scoring a run on a throwing error that got past the third baseman. Henson scored 2 runs on the afternoon. *Sophomore, Sam Thomas, recorded his first career Varsity hit an RBI, on a pinch hit single in the top of the 7th. *Junior, Jon Vannoy, scored his first career run, after pinch running in the top of the 7th. *Senior, Dusty Stout, earned his first career Varsity hit on a bunt that dropped in front of Happy Valley left hander, Justin Norris. |
